Hi Jennie
Thanks - don't worry, there really are plenty of things to eat. There's a place called Ca das Sandes which is a cheap an cheerful take-away a bit like Subway if you just veggie rather than vegan. You'll see several of these on the main streets.
Also there's a health food place called Celeiro Dieta (must write a post on that!) which has lots of snacks, pasties etc. some of which are vegan, plus soya milk etc. The only thing I couldn't find in Lisbon was humous! Celeiro is on Rua 1 de Dezembro no. 65.

Thanks so much for these reviews of vegetarian choices in Lisbon. I will be traveling there next month and was wondering how I'd find good food in a country known for its meat and fish! I will definitely be stopping at Os Tibetanos. :)

[...] Check it out! While looking through the blogosphere we stumbled on an interesting post today. Here’s a quick excerptOs Tibetenos is a lovely little restaurant off Avenida Liberdade. It is part of the Buddist centre and therefore is a tranquil place to eat. To get there, take the metro to Avenida station and take the exit from the station to Rua do … [...]
