The Portuguese Alphabet - Video
I posted this way back as part of my series on the Portuguese Alphabet and Pronunciation but have since updated it so I decided to give it a blog space of it’s own. Now that I’ve finished updating this, I’m working on the next video. Stay tuned folks

Very nice video, indeed!
Just a short side note: Currently Portugal is discussing to implement the “Acordo Ortográfico” - an agreement of all Portuguese speaking countries in the world (including Brazil, Angola, etc.) in order to standardize Portuguese ortography and spelling.
Among other changes, the Acordo Ortográfico also foresees to enlarge the Portuguese alphabet from 23 to 26 letters, meaning that K, W and Y will be officially added to the alphabet.
The complete rules of the Acordo Ortográfico can be found under

Hi Gilbert
Thanks for letting me know about that. I think I’d heard it vaguely somewhere but I shall now go and read up on it properly. It will be interesting to see how the different Portuguese speaking countries feel about this. Thankyou very much for the link x
We all love your voice !
Hi Ralf - thankyou
It’s always funny listening to my own voice! It’s very different to be the ‘voice’ behind a written article.
