O filme é lindo embora eu não tenha reconhecido nem metade dos locais que ele evoca!

Oh my god - what a superpositive profiling of Portugal. They don’t really believe all this, do they? Would be a fairy tale country if it all were true. I mean: I love Portugal, but this is too much. A country of contrasts is something else…

    @ Maria - concordo :-)

@ Pablo - I know what you mean but I guess as it’s a tourism video they are going to show all the beautiful things. It’s the same with tourism video’s for England - it’s all ‘a green and pleasant land’ but we all know it’s not like that everywhere. I just rather liked the video though just because it shows so much of the beauty of Portugal :-)

@ Lily: Of course you’re right - it’s an tourism video and you never tell the whole truth in an ad…
But when I hear him telling me, that Portugals nature is untouched, I’m partly amused and partly angry about that barefaced lie. I mean: look at the Tejo! Or think of the quasi non-existent environmental policy… (especially regarding the Algarve and nowadays Baixo Alentejo)

Sorry… didn’t really want to just bash and talk down the video. Apart from all those contrary ideas popping into my mind I also enjoyed to see it. Portugal is a beauty, for sure! Let’s hope they realize soon, that they are responsible for preserving the beauty!

@ Pablo - I see where you are coming from and actually I agree. I guess sometimes I just want to see something beautiful and try not to think how ridiculous humankind is (politics sort of makes me want to spontaneously combust - lol).
But you are right of course. I don’t stick my head in the sand although sometimes I want to! I often wonder what is going to happen - not only with Portugal but with the world and climate change and pollution. Mother nature will certainly decide for us if we can’t :-)

I thank you for the video!!!! I loved it! And it is not as if I have only visited Portugal once or twice.

It gave me a ‘rush’ knowing that is where I’m heading to this summer. Maybe even before!

It doesn’t matter that the ‘downside’ is not shown. It is nicer to see pleasant things. We are all well aware of how much is wrong EVERYWHERE!

So this was a lovely sojourn to a place I love so much!

    Obrigado! :o)
