@DP – The resources on Lingq are a good mix of both European and Brazilian Portuguese. A lot of sites seem to focus on Brazilian alone so that was why it was so good to see European Portuguese on there.

By the way, the other day I found there’s a “new” book called “A night train to Lisbon” that has been translated into several languages. The author is Pascal Mercier from Switzerland.
The main character is a Latin teacher who rushes out of the classoom overtaken by fascination for Lisbon and the poet Amadeu de Prado and heads to Lisbon. He should have read your website first.

This is a very interesting post. I’m rushing to visit Ling Q.
It is so much fun when you start learning a new language for fun! I think you’re choosing the best method to learn, the inductive one: out of exposure to the real language you infer the gramatic rules.
